Our vision is to build a self-sustaining ecosystem of ideas, individuals, and organizations equipped to carry out the mission of hope for every orphan in the world.
To advocate for and serve orphans and at-risk children through personal action and partnership development.
Areas of Action
Area 1: Support Ministry
Establishing an adoption support group that encompasses many pre- and post-adoption needs. These areas include, but are not limited to the following:
*Encourage those considering adoption
*Guide prospective adoptive families through paperwork
*Resource referrals for families adopting internationally, cross culturally, children with special needs, pre- or post-adoption counseling services
*Support meetings that offer a safe environment to address common and not so common concerns
Area 2: Physical Needs
*Establish a respite care community of those of us that can offer support through action.
* Running errands
*Bringing meals to new families
* Helping with household chores
*Child care opportunities for couples needing some downtime. All of us that are parents know how valuable this can be!
Area 3: Financial Assistance
The Echo Foundation continues to establish scholarship funds through private donations and fund raising activities. Guidelines and application for adoption scholarships through Echo are available upon request.
Area 4: Education, Awareness, and Recruitment
Echo commits to establishing relationships with various agencies and groups to supply information and direct families toward appropriate educational classes, and supply educational materials that may be needed.
Area 5: At-Risk Children & Orphan Care Ministry
*Guide those led to foster to partner up with Safe Families for Children to support parents and children in times of emergency
*Adopt orphanages in various countries and commit to praying for them and supporting them in various ways:
*supply basic needs: clothing, food, clean water, school supplies
*encourage families to attend and participate in Orphan Sunday events each November
*Sustain long-term sponsorship of orphanages: offer financial support, provide on the ground counseling services to orphans, serving trips and opportunities, and build positive relationships through pen-pal activities.
